Hi everyone,
I have 1991 115 Hp. Evenrude outboard.
Engine runs on idle no problem, and on natural, running full throttle no problem also. When I put on gear, it runs until 2500 Rpm no problem, but when I hit more gas, Engine seems like choke and shots off. It start up right a way no problem. But under load it's not running full performance.(it's not plane at all) I don't think I have gas problem, because I just change the gas filter before I run this season. However, my suspicious are advance problem. How can I check advance on this engine? Would you please help me with this problem?

Alaskan, I am no boat mechanic but my 1986 200HP is having similar problems. I was told to pressure check my fuel line from the VRO to the tank to insure I wasn't drawing any air.

Fixitman,
I discover on my engine, blowing head gasket (very litle leak). I replaced today and try to put on water sunday. I'll let you know result asap.

Fixitman,
I run my boat yesterday, and gess what I find?
My Advance trothle nub was came off from trothle. So under the load, loose all power. Any way I fixed my problem and I hope you find sullution to your engine. (sorry about my English gramer, I know it's terrible)
